Workrave is a software which helps you to prevent Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI). It reminds you to leave the computer after specifiedĀ amount of time. The software also includes some movement and eye exercise instructions you can do to release the stress. It can also prevent user inputs and disable networking to make you leave the computer.

Basically, the software will prevent you from doing things in a similar pattern for a long time. This will help the body to stretch and move more naturally. Workrave is available for Windows and Linux and can be downloaded fromĀ http://www.workrave.org.

The Linux version is available as tarball, you can configure and install it after reading the directions inside the archive. Another easy option is to search for workrave on your software center, most probably it will be there for you to install.
